It started off being a breeze
Which is when I prayed, “don’t get too difficult please.”
I was getting excellent grades and was very proud,
Until my teacher began to complicate things, which made my head go into a cloud.
Differentiation, Chain Rule, Implicate Differentiation, we learned
all about.
Before the test I knew that I had to go all out.
Receiving a poor grade was not an option,
So I decided to go to extra help which was a very good action.
My teacher thoroughly explained everything I had to know.
And because I knew the material so well, the test didn’t go by
very slow.
When my teacher handed our tests back
I saw a big, fat “A” written in black!

I really liked your poem. I understand the struggles having to do with math. This year my math class is difficult at points too. It's great that you pushed through and got help for what you didn't understand. Great poem.
